Enter a start and end time and the calculator works out the time in between. Shifts that cross midnight are handled automatically: 22:00 to 06:30 is 8 hours 30 minutes.
It also converts to decimal hours for payroll: 7 hours 45 minutes = 7.75 hours.
Divide the minutes by 60. 45 minutes = 0.75 hours, 20 minutes = 0.33 hours.
Add 24 hours to the end time before subtracting. 22:00 to 06:00 is (6 + 24) − 22 = 8 hours.
Subtract unpaid breaks only. Paid breaks count as time worked.
